What an awesome holiday. Sentiment-wise, I think it's the best of them all. I'm so glad we drove 24 hours (total) to celebrate it. I got to see a lot of people who I love a ton.
I also got to see a one-day-old baby, and it was one of the better experiences of my life. There's nothing like seeing people you love in their proudest moment as new parents. Plus the baby was so cute, I couldn't stop giggling. She made purring and whining noises when you held her. I just can't wait to watch her grow up.
It was a wonderful time, but today it was back to the grind. I had a final in my ochem lab, and I'm so glad that class is over. I like ochem a lot, but the lab was gnarly. I broke more than one piece of glassware, had to start a complicated experiment over, and was caught pouring a reagent back into the original container (which I knew not to do, but was really hoping not to get caught because I think it's a pointless rule ;) ). I was able to coach myself through it and I ended up doing well in the class, but it was definitely a steep hill to climb.
I hope your Thanksgiving and first day back were really nice. Well, I hope at least the former was nice and the latter tolerable.
